Solar Removal & Reinstallation · Polk County
Your roof is being replaced and there is eighteen thousand dollars of glass in the way. We take it off, protect it, and put it back producing like it did before.
Most manufacturer warranties expect qualified handling, and an undocumented removal is the first thing a claim reviewer looks for. Panels stacked on a tarp or walked on develop microcracks that show up months later as lost production. And roofing insurance typically excludes damage to the solar system entirely.
We inspect and photograph the array with baseline production readings before anyone touches the roof. We manage the full removal, tag every panel by position, and stage the array on your property in a spot you choose, usually a carport or covered patio, off the ground and covered. Your roofer gets a clean deck and a mounting map. Then we reinstall to spec and verify output.
Roofing schedules move. Materials arrive late. Somebody has to keep the removal, the roof and the reinstall lined up so your system is not sitting in the carport for three weeks. That coordination is the service. Permitted electrical work is completed through our licensed partner, so you keep one point of contact from the first photo to the final reading.
Serial numbers, mounting hardware, pre-removal production, staging conditions, reinstall torque and post-reinstall output. You get the full photo set. If a manufacturer ever asks what happened to the array during the roof job, you have the answer in writing.
We work alongside roofers across Polk County and they call the same number you do. If your roofer does not have a solar partner yet, send them to us and we will handle the scheduling directly so you are not refereeing between two companies.
Questions we get asked
Price depends on panel count, roof pitch and height, mounting system, and whether optimizers or micro-inverters are involved. We quote after seeing the array, and the quote covers removal, staging, reinstallation and verification so there are no line items added later.
On your property, in a spot you choose. Most customers use a carport, a covered patio or a garage. Panels are tagged by position, stacked vertically off the ground and covered.
Removal is typically a single day. The roof work is your roofer's timeline. Reinstallation is usually another day once the deck is finished. The variable is coordination, which is what we manage for you.
That is the point of the baseline. We record production before removal and compare it after reinstall, then send you the numbers. If anything is off, we find it before we leave.
