Solar Diagnostics · Orange County
Your bill went up, the app shows a fault, or the array simply stopped producing. We find out what is actually wrong before anybody quotes you a repair.
No production at all since a storm. One string dark while the rest works. Monitoring app throwing alerts nobody has explained. An electric bill that jumped with no change in usage. A system orphaned when the original installer went out of business.
We start with what can be checked without opening or altering equipment: production data against expected output, visual inspection of panels, optimizers, conduit and mounts, plus photo documentation of anything abnormal. Most root causes show up right there.
Central Florida is full of systems whose installer folded, leaving homeowners with no warranty contact and no service path. We work on those every week. We can often reach the manufacturer directly and get panel or inverter warranty claims moving again.
We give you a written finding with photos and a clear recommendation. Permitted electrical work is completed through our licensed partner, so you keep one point of contact from the first photo to the final reading.
After Florida storms we see lifted panels, damaged conduit, water intrusion around mounts and inverters that shut down and never came back. We separate what is a solar problem from what is a roof problem, because they get fixed by different trades.
Questions we get asked
No production usually traces to an inverter fault, a tripped breaker or disconnect, wiring damage, storm impact, a monitoring failure that only looks like an outage, or a panel-level problem such as a failed optimizer. The diagnostic tells you which.
Heat is the biggest factor, especially on units mounted in direct sun on a west wall. Age, storm surges, moisture intrusion and wiring faults account for most of the rest. Inverters are usually the first component of a system to need attention.
Leaks show up around mounts, flashing and roof penetrations, and they are far more likely after a storm or after a roof job where the array was handled by someone unfamiliar with solar. We photograph every penetration during a diagnostic.
It depends on the issue and on parts, but urgent Orlando diagnostic calls get same-day response whenever we can make it work. Emergencies are covered 24/7 at (407) 753-7515.
